What is the "Will of God?"

Started by 0mega Spawn3 pages

The will of god is a term used by religious to write off the natural chaos of the world

Guy gets promotion says it was the will of god
Guy gets fired gets told it was the will of god
Guy close friend gets killed says it was the will of god
Guy close friend kills someone gets told it was the will of god

So basically everything is the will of god... good or bad
alternatively everything will also be blamed on the devil
For example
A crazed man kills someone daughter
People will say evil made him do it...yet the same will say god wanted her to join him in heaven

Edit - sorry about this run on grammatical error ridden sentence

Chaos comes from the result of a structured design.

1. Absolute, Ultimate Power, the Driving Force of All Being, completely beyond mortal ken.
2. Two nouns surrounded by punctuation marks and linked by a preposition.
3. An explanatory phrase mostly for things we didn't expect and/or don't like.

There is no such thing as God. He does not exist.

I think that's common knowledge 😬

How dare you unlearn the fear of god and eternal pain 😠

That is an anthropocentric and illogical assertion.

The minutiae of existence that is observable to humankind doesn't offer sufficient data to qualify, or disqualify, the validity of God's existence.

Best one yet.

So far you're doing fine.

Please define God.

Can anyone tell me what God's will is?

Gods will is for you to be happy and ignorant, totally unwilling to question any and every one that professes to speak for him.

That sounds more like human will.

Why wouldn't it?

Do you blame everything on a god?

I blame everything on humans.

I don't believe in a god.

That has nothing to do with my question. Please answer.

I have, twice now.

Good answer.

Whatever my or my group's will is.

I don't believe God is what we understand Them to be.

I mean - technically from what I've heard about the transcension of advanced and sophisticated lifeforms, like using nanites to replace cells, the ability to simulate a portion of an atom in VR, perfectly replicating its behavior - that fact that we might not be the only life around.

I think God is a never ending stack of Higher Intelligences up dimensionality ad infinitum. And to try and think that there's a limit to "God just is" or that "The universe just happened" is false.

It never ends. Infinite complexity.

All the things I've seen, the lives don't have a good ending - all I can say is that it is wrong to assume that 'God's will is one thing or another. You might be wrong.
