In FC he's human and the ale allows him to harness the full power of the omega force because he has almost all of earth as a host body (not unlike when he's on Apokolips).
His durability was human level but his power was still godlike, he would have obliterated any single foe below Mandrakk at that point with the omega force.
EDIT: in fact Mandrakk's release was a direct side effect of DS' hateful descent into oblivion.
