Seems pointless to merge Superman and Surfer. Surfer already have Superman attributes. As for the thread...Scott solos and doesnt need the merge to win.

I always imagined their powers would compound ("synergy"😉, and the result would have exceptional h2h combat speed, plus the presence of mind to use powers creatively, and, no more board to fall off of.
