Well, when Luke comments on a lost tribe sith's dueling skills, he suggests that he may be a match for an expert duelist such as Katarn or Durron.

wow. that kinda shakes up the whole hierarchy.

hierarchy in terms of a top 10 list. you'd have to put kyp in the top 5, while effectively lowering everyone else one notch

Kyp's always had enormous force powers though.

Anyway, I've never been overly impressed by Katarn's swordplay so Durron matching him there is hardly surprising.

katarn was considered second to none in terms of dueling in the NJO barring luke.

Which is impressive considering his rivals in the form of.............

But I was more pointing out that Katarn being the best duelist in Lukes Order isn't that impressive considering it isn't exactly brimming with lightsaber prodigies.

nah, the only reason he even beats katarn is because jaden uses the scepter of ragnos on him.

Oh yeah.

I wonder why people don't rate Ragnos higher. That scepter is at least as broken as Exar's amulet.

hmm, im not sure about sabers (although i just might be inclined to give HoT the nod), but kyp holds a huge advantage in the force.

Actually, he really has more going for him than some people think. Y'know, beating up Tarentateks with his bare hands, being considered THE role-model Sith Juggernaut type fighter in the TOR Era, and Naga Sadow is supposed to be a pussy in comparison. Add that with that statement that he's a master of the Force, and give him his stick o' destiny and you've got a badass.

Also, some assumptions:

As he often applies FL the body of Tavion Aximis, it can be assumed he applied it regularly in life. As he ended up becoming a Sith Spirit through unknown means, he was probably a master of Sith Magic. And The Merchant claims that there is a statement saying Ragnos has the same physical stature as Vader.

Assuming the rest of his abilities that are unknown are up to par with everything we know... He's pretty beastly.

Add onto that Luke Skywalker's insinuations about his power in JA.

But of course, much of this appears vague/apocryphal, so I would hesitate to put him above Vader. KJA labeled Exar Kun as the most powerful of the ancient sith he created. And we don't really know how he stands against Vader. Vader's really the key to it all, lol.

Is Ragnos being 'the most powerful of the most powerful' from a credible source? Its a great accolade.
