This movie not a only a story true, but I believe they had to play down the abuse of the nuns to these Women because it would have been too violent and the censorship board would have to intervene.

I saw it many years ago, but it was a most powerful Film then. I myself went to a Marist brothers boarding school, though we got the cane and the strap. That's was about it. It was a Agricultural school and some of the brothers were good, but there was others who were tyrants.

I see you are a Woman, so this maybe more difficult to see this Film. It's sadistic to begin with, but being of the fairer sex, it would be even more confronting.
