Thor at present, over the last 2 - 3 years is probably more powerful than I have EVER seen him. He wins and relatively quickly.

People are forgetting that Thor can drop the hammer if rocked. Without the hammer he would be damaged significantly. If Thor gets the hammer back then he will be at an disadvantage since he has been significantly damaged.

He can drop it but it can be summoned back to his hand just as easily. And getting hit by it on the way back tends to be gruesome, just ask the Builder in Infinity.

Are you forgetting that even without the hammer Thor has elite top tier strength and ranged attacks, he can also summon the hammer?

Not really. Like Cealy said, Orion is just as versatile, has some insane energy absorption feats, has just as good fighting ability, and is likely smarter than Thor. His feat against Arnicus Wolfram shows he's cunning as hell. Plus, the creation of the Genesis Box that unmade the universe of Darkseid's taint. He also has good showings against Superman as well.
