So who's the winner in this fight between two RPG heroes?

Zael, the main protagonist of the RPG The Last Story.

If anyone is familiar with Operation Rainfall, then chances are, they're familiar with the games that these characters each come from.

But in this fight between two fresh new Nintendo heroes, who would win?

I'm sure somebody has played these games.

I know jack shit about Zael, but is there any reason to believe he can resist Shulk's reality bending powers?

I asked other people who I know that played both games and they think Shulk wins. Maybe it is because of the reality bending powers.
