I just saw him last night but this time he was staring at his homemade grill.

Yep. He was standing there looking thoughtfully at it when I went over to his house last night. I stopped and asked what he was looking at with such intense concentration.

food?

No actually he was trying to figure out how to properly build the thing. It was not a store bought grill. He was using parts from other things for it.

you know, 90% of all injuries are inflicted in the home by DIY jobs.

and the other 10% by me 😄

The man is somewhat gifted with taking bad cars apart and rebuilding their engines but was totally lost when it came to the grill.

No what I meant was he can fix cars and is really good at it but when it comes to things like grills and lawn mowers he is lost.

lawn mowers should be pretty straight forward, especially if its a petrol engine. then he should not have a problem.

no one does it with scissors anymore?

if every one cut they're grass with scissors yerss, as soon as they finished they'd have to start over, and do the whole thing again!
