That's my problem man, theres nothing to suggest that their weapons would even harm him. If they could then I might be inclined to say that they have a chance. That water tower argument is really bad man. The tower was crumbling, he couldn't stop the entire tower from falling because of physics. The tower was crumbling around them and not on them because he was only supporting that one area. It's a lot like the scene from Superman returns where instead of simply stopping the plan from falling by grabbing the wing, the wing broke off because of the way the plane was designed. He had to fly to the front of the plane (the stronger area) in order to stop it from falling.

Water tower ko'd him and the ground did for a second and a half leaving him,completely at his opponents mercy for multiple seconds while crawling around on the ground like Rob does around his wife.
