Yes he can punch though a time storm with out a "chronal metal" I'm pointing out what might have caused the retcons

Show us the crono metal being on the fist that Hulk punched with. Be quiet and stop lowballing his fts. Doomsday gets punched through time.

Young-Banner had a piece of the Chronal material in his hands, from the attack he launched on the Chronarcist.

Then Zarrko taunted him as H^2 charged towards him, YB Hulked out and ... Fuzzy here but ... Looks like he grabbed a chunk of the material that was floating around and just punched the monitor connecting to the present 616, really really hard.

Hulk basically ripped through time, physically. Especially so later on, as he "held on to the breach", much like Galactus held on to the tear between 616 and Ultimates universes in Hunger.
