With sneak attacks and enhanced silencer damage an ugraded 10mm pistol can be pretty beastly.
Next up ninja for 2.5X sneak damage.
At dadudemon I found a 55 damage long sniper a bit NE from Fallen Bridge there is a 2 way path on the left you can find a supermutant camp on the right there is a highway go to the right.After walking for a short time you will find a walkway on the left with a teddy bear or monkey toy at the turning point go up and the sniper will be on the chair.

I also found myself a piece of chameleon gear that lets me turn invisible when I'm crouching and not moving. I am making the perfect stealth character.

Damn the artillery strike is fun to watch.
You build one in one of the story missions then you can get Smoke granades from the weapon chamber.They respawn extremly fast you can pick up 10 per visit.I already have 50 without wanting to farm.
Dont know the range the mortars can cover but they are pretty deadly.
Imagine Far Cry 4 mortars and you get what I mean...😛

The legendary weapons are randomly generated from what I hear
Its any piece of gear that starts with 'chameleon'. Chest piece, right arm, left leg, whatever
Also, for switching mods between weapons, just create lame version of that slot. So for a sight, just make a standard sight, and you'll get the more awesome sight you cant create off the gun. Attachments are weapon type specific though, so you cant add a shotgun sight to a handgun.
I immediately created another character after finding Grognak's clothes and axe, it gave me an awesome idea xD. Grognak was always my favorite out of the fallout comics (The Grognak RPG for the pipboy is actually pretty fun 😄) and it's one of the names Codsworth even knows, it also being the first comic you see during the start of the game with Nate saying it's his favorite, I developed a head canon where Nate told Codsworth to call him Grognak as a joke since he's such a big fan, after the incidents at the vault though, his brain was so scrambled and fragmented from all the stress that he emerged from it not Nate...but Grognak.
He can't use guns, has to survive off food in the wild such as cooking meat and gathering fruits and vegetables (maybe even eating humans later 😐), he can abuse alcohol and as for chems he can use psycho as like a berserker rage (probably going to get the perks to prevent addiction of course lol). His first quest was obtaining his legendary axe and garments, he found some power armor on his way there (he was naked at this point, that vault suit was not suited for a barbarian, it restricted his movements) but dropped the chain gun and fist fought a Death Claw to death (he later would get 3 scars across his face in Diamond City as a memory of this worthy opponent) , then the suit ran out power so he made his way towards the comic shop and encountered some gunners who all received a swift course of being punched to death, found some rags on one of the gunners (he was only allowed to have basic armor like rags or ragstag leather before acquiring his unique clothes) and a sledgehammer, his legendary axe it was not but he would have to make due.
Upon arrival he waded through countless ghouls but finally was united once more with his tools for this savage world, even going so far as to find a worthy opponent for his great axe, being a Behemoth residing in a lake. Just recently while having a drink at the local town he overheard of the Museum of Witchcraft up north. Grognak knew all too well the chaos of black magic, so after finishing his ale with his mighty axe gripped in his hands he sets out to vanquish the evil!
It's been awhile since I've been so into a game.
The behemoth fight was crazy.
Grognak knew the mighty giant's strength surpassed even his own, a rare case in any event, he drained a bottle of liquor to steel his nerves and calm his movements, not out of fear, no, Grognak's blood boiled in excitement to the point he trembled! He snuck up behind the beast, it awakened and let out a mighty roar but not before Grognak let out one of his own as to rival the colossal creature (he took psycho) and firmly planted his axe into the behemoth's back 4 or 5 times, the brawl that ensued was unlike anything Grognak ever encountered before in these strange lands, not even the mighty death claw gave him this kind of trouble.
They waged war all across those contaminated waters, each second Grognak's body absorbing a bit more radiation yet he cared naught for his focus was on felling this beast, it fought valiantly, and even broke one of Grognak's mighty arms. They each were drained of strength, the mutated titan went to deliver the final blow but not before Grognak's axe split into it's stomach. It was a battle for the ages, but the barbarian walked away, wounded, bones broken, but the victor none the less.
