Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien still stands as one of my favorite books. Andrew Klavan has written some books I love like Werewolf Cop and True Crime. True Allegiance by Ben Shapiro is a great novel.

But I tend to like non-fiction books the best. Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith and the Federalist Papers by Hamilton, Madison, and John Jay are up there. Basic Economics and the Quest for Cosmic Justice by Thomas Sowell as well.

Definitely The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo. I read it over and over again and it is so inspiring!

My fave fiction book is The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto by Mitch Albom.

Swan Song by Robert R. McCammon

So far--

Non-fiction: Letters from a Stoic by Seneca

Fiction: The Lord of the Rings, Revenge of the Sith Novelization, Ender's Game, or a bunch of other candidates

LOTR

Favorite individual book is tough to say.

Favorite series is The Dark Tower.

Basic Economics and Wealth of Nations are your favorite non-fiction books. Those are nigh impossible to get through what lol. So repetitive.

The Road by Cormac McCarthy is the best novel I've read.

The Road is good BF, not my fave but very good.

I just love his writing style. Makes things feel almost biblical in importance. His ability to paint a vivid picture with a few words is second to none. He can describe a setting in a few sentences and it will feel more real and vivid to me than what most other others could accomplish with full pages of description.

Yeah, I had to read it in Sociology A level 30 odd years ago and pretty much remember thinking exactly that. Vivid! Very good book. Ian Banks is another guy who could describe, but he'd do it right to the last rivet.

Hmm, I believe we must be thinking of two different books. The Road was only written about 10 years ago.

Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance.

Other runners up are: Dune by Frank Herbert, Grendel by John Gardner, The Lord Of The Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, Good Omens by Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett.

The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy 5 Part Trilogyi might just be my ult fav.

Single Best Fav Book.. That would take some thought.

yeah, I'm thinking of "on the road" the old beatnik classic by Kerouak. I did what I find I do too often, superficially read something, I probably didn't even register Mccarthy.

I alo love "The Blind Side" by Michael Lewis!

I alo love "The Blind Side" by Michael Lewis! The book is not easy to read and is quite large, but you can read a good summary https://freebooksummary.com/category/the-blind-side on a resource with student literature. It helped me a lot and gave me a lot of good ideas.

I highly recommend this book!

"The Journeys of Socrates" by Millman

Any Amberite fans in here? The Chronicles of Amber by Roger Zelazny is one of my favorites.

Ever since I read it as a kid I have used Corwin as my role model, the way he thinks and reacts to things is amazing. He is a good guy but not afraid to kill and do bad things to survive.
