He tanked it with his shield, it was a Thanosi and Darkseids OE cannot be as easily avoided. It's also more powerful then Thanos blasts.

If you notice, even after his shield is destroyed, he still charges through on his own despite being at a much closer range.

Yes, it was a high powered Thanos clone, but how does that change anything? Thor doesn't need to avoid his Omega Beams. Not when he has Mjolnir and he'd tank that shit like it was light breeze.

What? Thanos had an ultimate power up here and was unleashing waves of death across the Universe. Please lets not get silly. Not to mention at that point, Thanos' regular attacks were on the level of Omega Beams. One shotting Heralds is not beyond his ability to replicate.

Fyi, Thor's damage soak and energy resistance in that Thanosi arc was ridiculous. On a high end showing such as that, he'd tank the Omega Beams even without the massive amp just like Superman.

I'd also like to note that Thor was only momentarily stunned by Darkseid's Omega Beams back before it was cool and everyone did it. By the same writer who wrote Hunter Prey as a matter of fact and who went on to write the Thanosi arc. What a strange coincidence. mhmm

Let me see, under the same writer Superman survived a "nova blast" from Starbreaker whose power is magic and science based, yet DOS Doomsday killed him, You see where this is going?

This has happened a lot in comics, the big bad villain taking out a high powered team. When Superman fought him solo, he did good.

Ok, you took a look at Superman high showings, that doesn't mean he was operating at those levels when he fought Doomsday. If we go the high showing route, Thor fts poops on Doomsdays.

With this type of upgrade, Doomsday and Darkseid is losing this. One hammer strike and it will either stun them or cave that skull in.
