Jake Lloyd Vs. Hayden Christensen

Started by hayden's minx4 pages

This is a fair Argument~
I would have to say Hayden's portrayal because of the way he carried the storyline of Episode 2. In defence of Jake though, this maybe contributed by the great script and storyline of Episode 2. (And the fact that Hayden fancied the pants off natalie portman).
Also Jake's portrayal of Anakin in Episode 1 is wooden this maybe contributed by the age and lack of experience of Jake Lloyd.

Oh yeah and I've seen a few films with hayden in by the way justinday15, Life as a house is the best one i've seen other that SW because he plays the biggest role in it (with Kevin Kline), he also had a few small parts in The Virgin Suicides and Trapped in a Purple Haze. There were a few others as i recall but he was really young in them. He plays a paperboy in 'The mouth of madness' (Carpenter), but I haven't seen that. Look out for two new films called 'Shattered Glass' and 'Nailed Right in' with Johnny Depp that he will be starring in.

On behalf of my absent colleagues thanks for the info!

Hayden....he's older....

and is old enough to be attractive to girls.

I Have to agree, LLoyd was kinda annoying and Hayden was ok, by no means good or great he was just ok and the only think i didnt like the most about his character was that he got to be so close to Pame, lol

Or the guys, depending on preference of course.

I think Jake was utter s***e, some of his dialogue is painful to watch. I didn't think Hayden was too good either, but out of the two he's the better.

Best of a bad lot though I'm afraid.

"are you an angel"............ 😘

Yes well that was an awkward and most unexpected thing for him to have said. It certainly got her attention though. But I digress. The romance thing between Anakin and Padme is one thing, but why did they have to start out with him being still a kid when he met her? And their smiles at each other at the end of Menace was disturbing to say the least.

Again too awkward. Its nothing compared to R2 wobbling at the end of ANH during the award ceromony, that always brings a tear to my eye....

*wipes eyes*

Poor little fella, got shot during the battle of Yavin.....

*Sobs*

The ending to the original Star Wars still remains a fan favorite to this day. The ending for Phantom Menace was a ripoff of the original film. Anyone else see that?

because of the parade?

Yeah and how everyone seemed happy and looked to the camera and smiled.

yoda only knew what was to come.

Yes I imagine he did. I say Hayden was the better of the two Anakins but only just.

only just?

I don't think both actors were able to fully realise themselves in the role of young Anakin Skywalker because there was too much baggage and expectations that neither could ever hope to meet.

I think both of their performances were lacking but I preferred Hayden's.

I like Jake Lloyd's interpretation more than Hayden Christensen's.

interpretation of what?
