I see you didn't read age of ultron, but trust me you didn't miss much it was written in a sloppy fashion (bendis). Basically Ultron took over new York and most of the world and many of the powerful heroes were killed hulk, thor, reed, Pym, etc. So wolverine went back in time with sue to kill a younger Pym before he created Ultron. Funny thing is as soon as Logan walked in on Pym he just had the idea of creating ultron. So they fought and Logan finished him off by slicing his throat. Then they went back to the future and things were worst. Then the event just got sloppy from then on.
Naw. Even so, size doesn't matter don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Pym is primarily known for his tech and intellect. He isn't exactly a technician combat wise. Him being able to expand and shrink in size has huge benefits for obvious reasons, but any highly skilled combatant can take him down regardless of this ability for they may have the skill to pinpoint certain nerves that can subdue him. And the fact that he is dramatically increased in size increases the size of the nerves as well, making himself an easier target. You say that we are using antman so its a different story. I beg to differ. Let me finish this post off with a panel of one of my favorite street levelers of all time Tony duh "Taskmaster" Masters.
And yes these are multiple targets dramatically increased in size. When Logan wants to he can be a skilled technician. He just abuses the fact that he has a retarded healing factor. He is battle-hardened and well verse in the human anatomy as well, so I am sure he can replicate Tony's impressive feat here...Perhaps not with so much finesse, but indeed he can get it done.

Pym can shrink in size as a reaction instead of trying to talk sense into Taskmaster like in those scans. He can also shrink Logan in size with a single touch and send him into another dimension.

Except that Pym was still just a scientist. He'd had little to no combat experience.
Not really... at that point, he got plenty of battle experience. He was just helpless against the guy who wrecks Sentinels and helps Thor take down mythical Norse giants...
Without the usage of exotic abilities/tech, Pym can't take him. Current Hank has those options, but fighting exp is irrelevant as he never became a formidable enough fighter to be a threat to any self-respecting martial artist in the MU.
Lol I'm not defending Logan especially with these stips he gets stomped badly actually, I'm just stating that if you really make some stips that give Logan a slight advantage like a confined setting and Pym having no prep or knowledge at all of his arrival similar to age of ultron then it may help him slightly, but then again this is ant man one of pyms most refined versions not giant man like in AoU. I was simply trying to cut logan a little slack lol.

This is the point I was looking to make.
This pym did not have as much battle experience as the current one, and more importantly, he did not know who wolverine was. Look at the way he fought wolverine. It's abundantly clear that he had no idea that wolverine had an adamantium skeleton and tried to fight him like he would fight any other human
Current Pym would just shrink to a small size, get in logan's ear and rip his brain apart from the inside. Let's see Logan come back from that shit.
