If I could be a hunter, I'd live in the Supernatural universe. Best. Job. Ever.
[Best colleagues ever 😄]
Yea...until you realize the world you live in is flooded with all things that go bump in the night. Pure evil that nvr sleeps and for the most part go un challenged. You're "hunter colleauges" are basically fodder for the monster of the week along with everyone you hold dear. You will nvr settle down and have a family because you will undoubtedly make enemies as a hunter. The only way out of the "best job ever" is death. There are actually very few "good" guys out there to balabce all the evil. Most hunters are crazy and the angels...ha...they r more likely to kill u than the monsters. Oh and God said **** it all ditched out. Crap-tastic universe.

Dude, you got some deep-seated issues here?

No, the worst fictional universe to live in would be The Book of Eli, or Dawn of the Dead (2004). Supernatural is tame by comparison.
Agreed dawn of the dead is pretty bad. But id take that over the 28 days/weeks universe. Runners will have u shit ur pants over walkers.
Well my life is pretty craptastic at the moment, so the major change would be having me being able to do something about it. For me, it's more appealing to have some bit of control and maybe even defeat about the crap in your life instead of just having to sit there, knowing that SOMETHING is going on, just not what or when it's going to strike, and then just getting to sit through it.

Fantasy allows us to live vicariously through heroes with powers and goals and friends to support them. They allow us to explore new beautiful ideas without being subjected to real-world limitations, and they reflect the simpler mores of fightting physical and defeatable evil versus the daily "hell is other people" that we live in real life.
I'd rather be fighting through legions of undead, orcs, or robots instead of dealing with some stuff. Like tax season. Or "food or gas this week" budget crisis.
@Wallman : DotD remake (2004) has runners and the epidemic is global. Plus they don't starve or die to a few bullets like in 28 Days Later. I admit though that the latter is still the only zed movie that genuinely frightens me, just because of how well it's filmed.
Also, Book of Eli has little civilization, electrical things are mostly gone, and you don't even have tons of ammo to offset it. Even Fallout gives you a considerable arsenal.
