In hindsight, pitting fire man against fire man who is also an ice man probably wasn't the greatest matchup.

Death Battle's usual MK bias aside, makes it even harder to take this seriously after how much a jobber MK11 made Shao Kahn.

Shao Kahn: gets a hole punched into his chest by Liu Kang during MK9, can barely walk.

Also Shao Kahn: gets a hole punched into his chest by Akuma in his strongest form, doesn't so much as flinch.

Research. Sure.

Hard to believe they never did Jason Voorhees vs Michael Meyers.

Why is Shao Khan even considered a match for Akuma? Akuma does stuff like sink islands, explode inactive volcanoes, throw submarines out of the water, and fight Gods for centuries at a time(Asura).

Someone questioned me on Death Battle's MK bias, bringing up that Raiden lost to Thor, Akuma defeated Shang Tsung, and Black Canary defeated Sindel. (Now though ironically, Shang Tsung >>> Shao Kahn as of MK11 Aftermath)

But as a counterpoint I brought up that Shao Kahn defeated Bison, Scorpion defeated Ryu, Sonya defeated Cammy, and Sub-Zero defeated Glacius. The last one was pretty spot-on though, but the others gave a mostly asspull explanation for the MK characters, like Akuma vs Kahn here.

Bison and Akuma have shown themselves to be city and island busters, but Death Battle likely ignores that and would probably say that Shao Kahn could beat both of them together or something. lol

And why did Death Battle show Cetrion when they were going over the MK gods? Shao never fought her; he'd probably job to her too. Later it was basically said Raiden is like a demigod, which makes sense; a lesser god whose not on the level of the Elder Gods or anything, and that's the best that Shao Kahn has fought consistently.

Death Battle outcomes are completely random.

They compared Darkseid to a Celestial in Iron Man vs Batman, yet argue Darkseid beats IG Thanos. Yet Batman beats Cap (Who usually hands Stark his ass on a silver platter)

Goku Black loses to Zoom while acknowledging Black is a multiverse buster, while comparing Zoom to ZENO.
