The Sandman Feature Length Movie

Warner Bros. have confirmed that Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises, GI Joe) will serve as producer for their cinematic adaptation of Neil Gaiman‘s popular DC Comics series The Sandman, and may also star and direct.

This is not the first time live-action (film and TV) adaptations of Sandman have been in the works, but this one is apparently a go, thanks to the Warners’ new plans to adapt several DC properties.

Gordon-Levitt’s involvement was first reported in Badass Digest as part of screenwriter David Goyer‘s Sandman pitch to Warner Bros.

Not sure how this would even begin to pan out as feature length movie. Or if it should even be attempted, tbh.

Can be totally awesome but my hopes aren't up. Sandman isn't something suitable for a movie but damn me if I don't look forward to see Morpheus on screen.

Nelson and Kevin both said they are serious about Sandman. I guess this would be a good thing.

Oh yes. By far.

Bad idea, in any incarnation. Animation would be better, though.

Oh, and even attempting something of this scale in a single movie is a huge mistake. Can't be done.
