Pretty sure no person could actually fight a Balrog for 3 days. Durability has to count for something considering how for they traveled when they fought.

What I'm saying is that in all we've seen we have no clue as to how strong the Balrog is. Best we've seen is it smacking small rocks off the cave walls. You can push Gandalf from peak to low superhuman and not much would change in terms of how strong it is.
