But if your not going to convert to Chrisitanity and he's not going to convert to Buddhism, what hope is there of any of this, it seems un fruit full to push your believes on anyone else, it barley works in person, how are two people who never met in person going to do it?
I think the best thing a person can do, concerning their religious beliefs, is compare them to others beliefs, discuss those beliefs with others, and develop their understanding of their own religion through those debates.
You may find out you don't believe something or you may discover something beautiful about your beliefs that you didn't know, before. KMC has functioned as a near haven over the years to help me better understand other people's religious beliefs. I've been a member since 2005 and all sorts of folks have come through. I got to talk to many of them: some Mormon, many atheists, many Christians, some agnostic, a couple of Buddhists, a Wiccan, and 3 nihilists.
Most of them were pretty good people: relaxed, open minded, and kind. I could join a religion forum and possibly run into more but I'm too old fer dat shit. Anyway, yeah, that's why you talk about religion with others. It's good stuff.

I don't know how you drink every night. I used to have an iron constitution in my early 20s, but it vanished one night and never came back. Now, I feel sick as death if I have even a six pack on a full stomach, the following day that is.

You and me both. I don't like the feeling of being drunk, and it took a lot of drinking for me to realize that.
