'barren wasteland' is always the first thing in mind, good good.

Film has been brain bleached so info is sketchy. Seeing how every (notable) person on LAs side has bending skills, that 'could' help make a dent in the others side.

Barren indicates theres no water for the waterbenders to bend and no fire for the firebenders (they need fire to do that in the movie right?).
