Is Shaw resistant to electricity? I'm pretty sure he could only absorb kinetic energy. If that's the case Banner fries him.

Electricity wasn't shown for Shaw, but grenades and nuclear reactors fed him so I don't see him ever being written as susceptible to electricity. Hulk can't overload him IMO. A nuke reactor can run a ship for years. Hulk cant overload that much in a short time. Shaw can dish it back out to release it. Shaw saves up 10-12 hard hits, gets bashed around like Loki, then smiles and knocks Hulk TFO.

The Absorbing Man could just turn into water and drown Shaw, or become solid steel to slice and dice.

I mean, Shaw died by blunt force trauma to the head by a coin. He's not invincible.

True on the drowning part. That may be the only way one of them can hurt the other one. Concerning the coin, that was when Prof X somehow took his powers away mentally (PIS). Look at what happened when bullets hit him or Magneto flung heavy metal girders into the side of his head during the coin fight.

Oh, and my previous reply was mistaken: I was using the wrong Banner (Hulk).

Drowning can't kill Banner, he transformed to water when Hulk threw him in the lake.

This is a tricky match, but in the end I think Banner wins. He just has more options. Plus there's no telling what he'll turn into if he tries to absorb Shaw's properties.
