Microsoft is being pulled into the Syrian Civil War. Yeah, if you didn't know Syria is going through a revolution of sorts and the Syrian Electronic Army is a coalition of hackers in support of the Assad Regime. Though not official a part of the government, the SEA has begun attacking enemies of the state, which over the weekend included Microsoft and Xbox Support's Twitter account. As part of a larger cyberattack, the Xbox account was seen tweeting a series of posts referencing the Syrian Electronic Army and the phrase "Game On!". An SEA rep let Mashable know that while Microsoft is not their enemy, what they're doing is affecting the hacker collective by monitoring emails and selling data to intelligence agencies.
This is not going to end well.
