Sure he is, and he can kill Aliens with a gun, but he can't do it h2h. In fact I'd say no street leveler can take an Alien unarmed.

Those rifles have their own power source, I don't see him running out of ammo. If he did or loses the one, he will make his own weapons. He has more then one way to kill them and baiting them into traps.

He will learn their weaknesses and use weapons when he has to to survive as show, the rest of the time he will do what he has to, too survive.
