Is this Darkseid from the elseworld story JLA: The Nail/Another Nail (going by the scan)? With his armor drawing power from the omega doom device (which can destroy a galaxy and increase his power dramatically as a result), he's significantly above his standard version.
And is this the What If version of Set? (makes difference).
Although, Shattered God shouldn't be here. He's above everyone else.

He evidently was the void that existed before creation(basically what Nekron is now.) However, when creation was birthed, SG attempted to impose his own type of control over it, and was blown apart into trillionS of sentient pieces in the process:

After eons passed and SG had finally pulled himself back together, he sought to return the universe back to it's void state, but he couldn't do this on his own--he needed Dianna's unique link to the mortal and divine realms:

After possessing Dianna, SG began restarting existence(or so he thought):

However, Dianna was able to prevent him from making any alterations to the universe:

And SG was ultimately blown(back) to trillionS of pieces when Zeus blasted him with the cumulative energies he'd collected from all the Godheads:

Not saying any one being on the Marvel side can defeat him, mind you. I just have never really thought of him as *that* powerful, all things considered. /shrug
^ He only needed Diana to resurrect his complete form, though.
The implication regarding his universal power was pretty clear if you ask me. He was certainly capable of remaking creation, he was right there at the center of the universe with Oa and planets surrounding him, recreating existence.
Shattered God actually did create a universal-wide shockwave, as shown here:

It just didn't alter the universe. Of course, Simonson couldn't have SG recreate the entire DCU, so he had Diana pull off the hero move. But it was made clear that SG could, when they had him at the center of the universe, dwarfing planets, and creating a shock-wave throughout the universe.
Not to mention that earlier in the story, Ganthet said that SG's power dwarfs anything he's ever seen:

Also, i think that SG getting shattered by the collective power of the Godheads is acceptable....it's not a bad showing, imo. Not to mention that SG even stated that his power grows with each second (meaning he was not at full power).
You may have also misunderstood me. I never intended to say that SG solos the entire Marvel team, just that he tips the battle in DC's favor by quite a bit (he's above the Skfayther tier).

Ganthet has seen the creation event. As was made clear in that story, the creation event>>>SG.

2 of the most knowledgeable posters on the boards. Operator came out of nowhere and deserves Rookie of the year. Or new poster of the year. He actually posts scans and knows what he's talking about. Galan is a veteran, though, so he can easily hold his own.
This is operators entrance. 😂

Yeah, but he needed Diana to regain his full power/form, only (it's not like she amped him or anything)

Because directly after that explosion/shockwave, SG says:

"What's this? the planet still exists? ...the galaxies, the universe remain unaltered"
Indicating that they should have been altered in that shockwave had it been not for Diana. The shock-wave was universe-wide but it didn't have any effects, is all.
And that proves that SG could have restarted the universe had it not been for the plot/Diana.

Don't think he's overhyped. He was a legit universal being existing before the big bang (as you said/posted yourself), that also speaks volumes about what level he's supposed to operate at.
Originally posted by operator616I said nothing about Dianna amping him. I said that without her, SG was unable to do much of anything... Which is 100% accurate.

Originally posted by operator616I think you're reading into it too much. In this case I think SG was simply shocked that the blast he released didn't alter anything at all--not so much as a single world. I don't think it was universal... But that's neither here nor there, and entirely irrelevant to anything I've said. I'm not arguing SG's *potential*(because he never actually achieved it) universal power. Just pointing out that nothing he did would have been possible without Dianna.

I can agree that he was a *potential* universal power, though, and certainly above a Skyfather.

I'm loving this. Galan vs Operator. Keep it going. You better not lose Galan.
operator and myself have had several discussions like this. It's not really us debating one another so much as merely stating why we feel the way we do about a particular topic, and leaving it at that.
It'd be nice if all discussions were as civil.
