Lottery Phishing Scams
I recently got 2 emails from "BBC One National Lottery" informing me that I'd(my email account to be specific) won £500k:

Is this sort of crap common in the UK? Who else on this site has got scam offers in their email inbox?
I've had plenty but can't say I've had this one. Who even falls for shit like that though. My most recent comical one was 'you're(sic) maestro card has been charge(sic) £99.28 by Facebook. Please log in to check your payments. Regards the maestro team.
You'd think if you're going to try and perpetrate a scam that you'd actually try and get basic spelling and grammar correct. Not to mention at least attempt to use a bank name rather than generic 'maestro' which can apply to any number of brands.
I sometimes reply to the ones saying they want to send me money but just need my bank details. I usually tell them to take off the costs and send a cheque. Then I start giving them obviously bullshit contact and bank details just to see how they react. Then I usually end with a foul tirade of racial abuse cos I'm a right ****.
