Wasp: Founding Avenger?

So not really a versus thread but hopefully it will stay open.

I was having an argument with a female comic book fan About whether Wasp was a full fledged hero or still a side kick at the time of the founding of the avengers. I stand that as a sidekick she shouldn't be considered a founding member. She disagreed and said because she was there and later became a solo hero she counts. Also do you guys consider Hulk a founding member? Idk 2 threads in one😂.

Who is right?

yes she is....i actually respect janet as a hero. she is greatly under appreciated and though a bit nder powered, was always the glue that held the avengers together. iirc it was either her or hulk who named the team.

As to the OP:
Of course she AND Hulk are founding members.

Jan is more of an Avenger than most. Certainly more than Hulk, She-Hulk, Dr. Strange, Spider-Man, Wolverine, War Machine, USAgent, Black Panther and a ton of others.

Thing was the worst Avenger. Joining for a short while just because Bendis liked it so.

I've never bought any of the FF as Avengers, really.

I was always against beast as an avenger.

Wasp is the Avengerest member of all the Avengers rooster. The only one that comes close is the Vision.
