The Flash

So his power works strictly on Dark Matter.

Supergirl or Gypsy would still be super.

Or Arrow. I mean, if he can be stabbed, I don't see how he'd stop a volley of arrows.

Or Mr. Terrific tech.

Slade, too. Hire him, problem solved.

Pretty much.

The writing for Cicada's abilities has been extremely inconsistent, even by CW standards. If a powerless reporter can beat him one week, yet it takes prep from 52 failed attempts, and the combined efforts of XS, Killer Frost, Elongated Man and Vibe to beat him the next week, you know the writing is shit.

Pity though, because I like the rest of the season overall so far.

This has actually been one of their better seasons, imo.

Flash in general is no Orville. Maybe on par with Gothams best.

I think it struggled earlier in this season, but the last 3 episodes were good.

I really like Nora, but I think Cicada has been a poor villain. Thankfully, he hasn't dominated the season as much as he could have, so he didn't spoil it too much for me.

Sucks if Cisco leaves though.

I think Thawne is the real big bad. Though I'm not sure how he knows so much about the alternate versions of Wells, but meh.

The best i can figure is maybe he powers up around metas? His knife seems to glow/not glow depending on who he’s around.

I’m just over it. It’s not like Smallville, it can’t go 11 seasons and out with a bang like SMallville did.

Show is basically background noise at this point

Whenever I see you post I think of vampire the masquerade. Just saying.

Only problem with that theory is that we've seen him do things like punch dents in his fridge and crush that metal pole while alone. I think the issue is actually in the pacing. Normally with a villain, they don't bring them as much to the forefront of the plot as soon as they did with Cicada. They really rushed his reveal compared to the likes of Zoom, RF, or Savitar, and didn't have the same setup as the Thinker. I mean he's already fought team Flash like half a dozen times.

Which means that, unlike most Flash Big Bads, he has to job a lot throughout the season for it to keep going on. But at the same time, Team Flash also have to job to keep the season going. So, he looks even worse because he has to job even harder in some instances to not kill them while they are jobbing.

Too true. Storywise you are on point.

My theory was more in universe. I’m sure he has a base level of power, hence the feats you mentioned, but it really does seem to increase around metas. With Iris, he was vulnerable but i think she was wise to get out of there.

Let's not get crazy. Smallville sagged like crazy in those middle seasons, but it had the benefit of being a show that didn't have much like it on at the same time.

Oh, I don't expect him to be a good guy at all.

Yeah, that show went on a bit too long.

But he seems so honest... 😮

I’d like to see how he and XS started this partnership.

Yup

Didn't really notice this, because I'm barely familiar with XS, but wasn't she black in the comics?

White actress playing a black comic character. How on Earth did that escape the usual suspects attention?

I mean, Iron Fist was actually Caucasian IN the comics, and they never let up about it.

Well, it helps that she’s not white.
