Mewtwo is an extremely powerful telekinetic, can move everything magneto can move and more with two spinal columns, meaning extremely more potent powers than magneto. This on top of psychic powers.

And top power Magneto has feats that shit on anything and everything Mewtwo has ever done.

Telepathic powers means nothing to someone who has a history of fighting telepaths and holding his own. Those telepaths trump Mewtwo's feats. You have to prove that Mewtwo's powers are extremely more potent. Magneto has more raw power and is way more versatile than Mewtwo.

But how many spinal columns does he have?

Magneto carries the weight of the mutant, Jewish and gypsy people on his back. That's at least 3 right there.
