Nope, alien race rebuilt him as a plan to use against Galactus. He even beat a weakened Galactus with one-shot when other herald levels could not. He couldn't hope to beat a full powered Galactus though.

Alpha Flight #100 (Vol.1) or Alpha Flight Special - 4/4:
Guardian has sent half of the heroes to the Quwrlin home world in order to battle Galactus. Just so some don't snap, the Quwrlin rebuilt Mac to go against Galactus and their entire race based their entire purpose on studying Galactus. So it's not farfetched he could take out a weakened Galactus. Also this dimension was messing with Galactus's powers as he couldn't perform cosmic blasts, but still had his physical power and before James stepped in it took the combined efforts of Alpha Flight and the Avengers strongest members just to hold him off. Surprisingly....no.
Heather has fought an alternate reality Iron Man (meh!), and Mauler (who was a common IM villain) but that's it. She isn't as powerful as James though
