Episode 3 how does obi wan and anni expect to rescue and bring back palpatine in ships that fit only one man??

Like typical Jedi, they assumed that they were going to think of something when they got there.

Originally though, I assumed they were hoping to board and take the vessel, so that the Republic could send in gunships.

I'm also thinking such a ship would have escape pods, maybe shuttles.

It did. Grievous used one, remember.

But probably they didn't have one on the big panorama deck, because only unimportant people come there to sit on the throne. 😉

They trusted in the force. In other words, they had no plan, and didn't know what they were going to do.
