Danny has outright dodged machine gun fire on several dozen occasions, knocked out speedsters, moved at near invisible speeds, deflected bullets with his hands, etc. Danny's chi amping easily puts him in Spider-man's speed and agility class. Learning one fighting style (while impressive) does not put you in the skill category of Iron Fist. Danny and Peter have also fought before in comics with peter winning after a very hard fight.

If we're talking about the "I don't take this fight seriously let's crack jokes"-Spider-Man, Danny walks all over him.
However, ff we're talking about a focused, blood lusted Spider-Man, Spider-Man wins, it's simple as that.

Danny has outsmarted Spider-man's SS and broken his webs with ease before he even got his recent upgrades. You do realize the amount of damage that Danny can walk away from right?

Always considered SM to be a bit faster than Danny based on their encounters. Otherwise Spider-man wouldn't even be able to put up a fight considering the skill difference between the two.

Well, he was clearly a bit faster then Steel Serpent, by the fact he was able to dart in and out of range and deliver an attack.

But the best he could do was throw out largely ineffective jabs, and keep moving back until he was cornered. Yeah, Spidey holds back habitually, but why let himself get driven back like that?

Of course, Danny himself did better against Davos, but that could partly be attributed to the two of them having similar styles. Danny would have an easier time countering Davos, in other words.

I guess it's that, plus it in general wasn't a very good showing for Spidey. 1 villain, 2 heroes. Often the case.
