More North Korean Hilarity

Male N. Koreans forced to get haircuts like their leader.
Men in North Korea are now required to get the same haircut as their leader Kim Jong-un, it is reported.

The state-sanctioned guidelines were introduced in the capital Pyongyang about two weeks ago, media reports say. They are now being rolled out across the country - although some people have reservations about getting the look.

"Our leader's haircut is very particular, if you will," one source tells Radio Free Asia. "It doesn't always go with everyone since everyone has different face and head shapes." Meanwhile, a North Korean now living in China says the look is actually unpopular at home because people think it resembles Chinese smugglers. "Until the mid-2000s, we called it the 'Chinese smuggler haircut'," the Korea Times reports.

It seems that haircuts have been state-approved in North Korea for some time - until now people were only allowed to choose from 18 styles for women and 10 for men. Earlier, North Korea's state TV launched a campaign against long hair, called "Let us trim our hair in accordance with the Socialist lifestyle".

Late leader Kim Jong-il, who ruled North Korea for 17 years, sported a bouffant hairstyle, reportedly in order to look taller.
This could end up being bogus, but I still think it's hilarious.

Get you some Chinese smuggler cuts, folks!

Well, i've got mine.

North Korea just like one big trolly nation. That's all they do is troll the shit out of everyone, and I love it.

A lot of the wildest stuff reported about North Korea ends up being factually false, but "true" in the sense that its entirely possible and reflects the nature of the country.

Do all the leaders of North Korea have to be retards or does it just come that way?

The problem with being a dictator is that no one ever has the courage to tell you that you have the fashion sense and hairstyle of a 50 year old lesbian mailwoman.

If this is the move that sparks the uprising that bring down the regime... oh I hope it is. The Great 'Do Uprising.

That's all they do if you disregard all the horrendous human rights violations.

Kim Jong il and Kim Jong un looking at things are two of the best blogs in the world. They bring much hilarity to an otherwise unhilarious family.

I do want to stay in that big pointy hotel in Pyongyang though.

I kind of want someone to make a version of Garfield where Jon is replaced by Kim Jong Un.

I had hoped the the new Kim would be more progressive and less douchy because he was educated and westernized...I thought.

But that does not seem to be the case. He seems to be just as douchy as his father and grandfather.

Jung-un, if you're reading this, stop being a douche. Be nicer to your people and let them have more freedom. Also, feed your ****ing people.

Between Kim Jong Un, the Qadaffi children, and Bashar Al-Assad, it's been more or less proven that a Western education only gives would be dictators a greater appreciation for things like basketball and Country Western music, not for democracy or economic liberalization.

It's important to remember that these dictators' sons are still insulated while studying overseas. They're probably flanked by bodyguards at all times, can pick and choose what friends to have, and likely get preferential treatment by their instructors.

As a teacher, I see myself at least being cautious if I were given charge of a young man whose dad could have me kidnapped and sent to a labor camp.

"Did Lil' Kim fail?"

In the WWZ film, this was the nation that removed the teeth from 24million people almost overnight. So anything is possible.

I wonder if the people in that picture are genuinely that excited to see kim or if that's the reaction they were coached through under the threat of death to their family members. I wish I could get that excited over something as that guy in the front row is

Makes it a bit more appealing for Indians to scalp them don't you think?

But how would the Indians get to North Korea?

Do Indians still scalp people?

Why...

I know Indians still exist, I've seen them at the strip district in Pittsburgh, but the question is...,do they give a shit, anymore..,does anybody?
