So the Shaman of the Whills have been retconed out?

It was said that Qui-Gon met a Shaman of the Whills who taught him how to transcend death. With the introduction of the Priestesses in Season 6, I guess its another canon cruncher?

No, nothing that I can recall from those episodes said Qui-Gon was taught by the priestesses.
