The consequence of disobedience is not pleasant in your scenario, but it is still a choice.

Compare to those 3 youths that went against the King's will and got put into a furnace, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

There the choice was essentially "die" or "die", from your perspective, no?
But by choosing to obey God, they lived.

So let's play a game:

Person A is robbing person B at gunpoint. Person B has the choice to disobey Person A and be shot, or obey and be robbed. Person A is not accountable for Person B's choice and subsequent punishment.

God made human beings and says if they don't believe/do miscellaneous things, they will go to eternal hell and punishment. Humanity has the choice to obey God, but if they do not, God is not accountable for their choice and subsequent punishment.

The question that will be asked: Is person B God?

God has his own set of rules.

So, if God was holding you up, then you would have to do what God said to do regardless of human right or wrong.

I like how God made everything, knows everything, and determines everything, but you are somehow solely responsible for your own choices and failings.

Derp.

The personification of God is full of illogic thinking.

I know.

"You can choose death."

Good job missing the point 👆

You're making me realize how fortunate we in America actually are;

our choices are generally mundane, trivial, or between 2 different kinds of pleasant:

"Blue today or black? And do I want to eat at McDonald's or Chik-Fil-A for lunch?"

Sometimes choices are a lot more serious and consequential than that.
Sometimes the choice you make IS a choice of life or death, literally whether you live or die.

Educate yourself.

Smug rebuttal that doesn't address original issues which BWR originally failed to elaborate on, instead obfuscating the point with red herrings, cherry picking, and block quotes.

Good job going on a tangent and avoiding the point 👆

Bluewaterrider, just stop. I'm tired of seeing this thread reported because of your posts.

For the record, I didn't report you, despite being trollvious.

Neither did I. I wonder who did then?

Typical for BWR.
