Are they the same character? did Marvel retcon the old Squadron Supreme Hyperion or something? also Hyperion has no business facing this kind of opponent yet. He has next to no battle feats.

There have been quite a few Hyperions on 616 Marvel earth - Grandmaster Squadron Sinister Hyperion, Squadron Supreme Hyperion, Microverse Squadron Sinister Hyperion from Thunderbolts, Jobber version of King Hyperion, clone Zombie Hyperion, and Marvel Now Hyperion.

He could form his own 616 super team just using himself, although I think Grandmaster & Zombie versions died.

While I do agree that he needs more character development to flesh out his combat capacity and overall stats, I still think that he can contend with WWH and give him a solid match. Keep in mind that Hyperion was also a warrior on his home planet so he should fight somewhat smart knowing how powerful this hulk is... I'm pretty sure he won't go derp mode and willingly let WWH punch him in the face like said Sentry did.
