Will the cycle ever end?

Republic and the sith empire are nearly always fighting for example after the new sith wars the sith where finally "exterminated" and there was a rule of two which as different 1130 Years later approximently the sith order returns as the one sith and the jedi return after the galactic empire so does the republic seriously will this Starwars cycle ever end? Jedi and sith republic and empire will any of this end?

To quote the Son:"how simple you make it, light and dark as if there can be one without the other"

So Ima go with no. The battle between light and dark is eternal.

As long as civilization exists, or if the Jedi decide to be thorough for once. Destroy all Sith artifacts, weed out any potential dark siders immediately, monitor their own students (mindwipe or sever force them when they show signs of the dark side)
