Orochimaru captures the Sound 4, summons the Edo Kage, Pain gets wrecked.

Excluding that option of the Sound 4 only Tayuya will be really helpful. Kimimaro's helpfulness depends on his health. Kabuto was only around Kakashi level Pre-Sage Mode and we saw what happened to him.

Then again 3(or 4 really) of the Sound 4 being fodder could be balanced out by some of the Pains being unimpressive. Overall the Bodies of Pain are less useless though.

The fact that oro isnt by himself is why he would win.

And that the pain bodies are susceptible to sound based genjutsu. Tayuya is a sound master capable of casting genjutsu from great distances. oro's team wins

Hm, I think it'd be a tough fight. Pain does have the resurrection advantage, and some of the sound four aren't too much use. But Oro + 2 jonin-level nin is quite useful.

Well, This entire fight will quickly boil down to Oro and Kimimaro vs. The 6 paths. Unless Oro has a severe knowledge advantage, and can counter all the path abilities, he loses pretty quickly. Nothing he's demonstrated in cannon can really compare to Pain's feats.

Uh, what? The key to beating Pain is to know his weaknesses and how his jutsu's work, and to be able to exploit them and be stronger than him.

Why did you count Kabuto out like that? He was a legitimate elite even before shippuden.

You forget that naruto lost that fight. If the kyubbi didnt save him naruto would be dead. And naruto had intel on his abilities then.

The team has a higher chance of winning for the fact that they are a team and could take the bodies out one by one

Hinata saved him. Naruto otherwise would be dead and the manga would be better.
