"Adult" gamers that think all games rated E are "kiddy"
How do you feel about people like this? It irritates me that people think a game rated E(which means Everyone) is "kiddy" because it doesn't have "ultra realistic" graphics and blood, gore, and excessive swearing.
I take it most people with this outlook on games are either preteens/teens or barely past their early 20s. They're at the age where it's uncool to like "kiddy" things. I guess I never went through this phase as I've been gaming since the late 80s and still love to play games such as Mario, Donkey Kong, and Kirby. I still enjoy cartoons as well. I never wanted to be one of those boring old grownups who is afraid of having fun and only cares about a macho image.

For me? I find it very difficult to watch cartoons that are designed even for older "younger" people. With games, I don't mind playing E games at all. The keyword is "everyone," after all. For the most part, however, I'm mostly playing "teen" or "mature" rated games.

I understand. I also play a lot of T and M rated games as well. I'm more concerned about the game entertaining me than whether it's for adults. If all I cared about was the latter, I would just be playing the bloodiest shooters and hack n slashes and complaining about the lack of porngraphy in games.
Quite frankly, I hate when people use terms like "kiddy" negatively. "Kiddy" isn't a reason. Now if they wanna say it's not their type of game or that it doesn't appeal to them I can understand. But to call it "kiddy" just makes that person sound like an insecure child that wants to appear more grown up. The only games that can even fall into that category are things like Dora The Explorer, Go Diego Go, Barney & Friends etc. Those are literally geared towards kids ages 7 and under. Whereas the games I mentioned in my initial post can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of age. Just like a lot of Disney and Pixar movies.
I never really did get into Pokemon, but apparently there are more adults playing that than kids. Whereas most kids are playing games like Call Of Duty, Gears Of War, and Halo.
