The trick is (As established in the comics), if he's not doing anything else, like throwing a ultra strength enhanced punch or using his super speed to bull rush, then he's always in invulnerability mode. He could be sitting in his apartment watching TV, and he'll have his invulnerability up.

Probably better than that even- All the other shadow enemies there were shadowy, more evil-looking high level heroes. So that's likely Evil-Shadow Martian Manhunter, since it'd be weird for Darkseid to use Orion, Firestorm, Superman, etc., and then just use the shadow of a random White Martian.
