Rosh Penin relevance Post-JKA?

What has Rosh Penin done since the Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy storyline ended? Has he held any relevance at all?

He's mentioned in Riptide. It says something along the lines of.

"he remembered beating Marka ragnos.... trying to save Rosh Penin"

Did Rosh just die in canon then??

Pretty sure Rosh just disappears after JA.
