Bastilla, isn't there some line about Bastilla being a 'more powerful apprentice'? Besides Bastilla was always meant to be Malak's new apprentice imo, Bandon was simply a placeholder. He is to Bastilla, what Maul and Dooku were to Anakin.

Bastila held her own against Bandon and some other Sith prior to the beginning of KotOR. I'd imagine that she'd progressed enough to the point that she could beat him in lightsaber combat.

With the Force, yeah, she's better.
