I would rather have them for free but if I love the game I'll always buy it. World we live in.

Only because we helped made this digital shitstorm you call a gaming world. It's a conformist attitude like yours is why it's still running.

Shit we like usually costs money. Quit crying over it and bellyaching over it. I'll pay if I love the game. You don't have to buy shit.

If you want to keep being a corporate kiss up, fine. But if something integral to a game like an optional fighter or a playable mode should be available to everyone, it should be available to everyone especially for some who couldn't buy it on launch day. Just because something wasn't pre-ordered and was instead bought later after release doesn't automatically make it the worst thing ever.

if you want to be a cheapskate who feels entitled then do not buy anything. You're a tightwad. I look down at you.

When Mortal Kombat 12 is $90 and one quarter of the characters are day-one DLC and another quarter are part of a pre-order bonus, are you going to buy the game, Quan?

Oh relax. It is a company trying to make more money which is the name of the game. If you don't not like it do not buy it. Quit crying.

You should be more responsible with your money Quan 😬

Dude, I buy collector's editions that have statues, art books and random miscellaneous shit. Not as cheap as you like to think.

If there's content out on launch day, it should be in the game and if I like the game I bought, I'll buy the DLC installments for it but not under disrespectful terms that would have me hook lined like a trout.

You're only making this painful for yourself. Just stop.

I'm okay with paid-DLC but my approval of paid-DLC is conditional. Here are the conditions:

1. The original game is complete, polished, and finished.
2. The DLC adds a significant amount of content to the original game (meaning, the value added is worth the price).

If neither of those 2 conditions are met, I am against the DLC. An example of a shitty paid-DLC is The Dark Below on Destiny. Destiny did not meet criteria #1 and failed criteria #2: both of them in huge margins. Therefore, I did not purchase the paid-DLC despite the fact the Bungie made it almost required to have to buy it to continue playing the game (in other words, strong-arm paid-DLC: a massive "f*ck you" to the gamers).

One game I think did EXCELLENT in micro-transactions is Killer Instinct. You could purchase the entire "season" for $34 and that gave you all levels, all characters, all modes, etc. They released a second season where you can do the same: pay for it all for like $34. You can also purchase individual items if you want to microtransact your way though the game. So, to show support for a game like this, I purchased season 1. Season 2 promises to continue to release new characters but I refuse to purchase an incomplete paid-DLC. If they want my money, they need to have season 2 at equal to or greater value than season 1.

So if MKX does something similar to Killer Instinct, they may get my money. If they do something similar to Farmville or Destiny, they can go f*ck themselves in their urethra's with Impediment's used anal beads.

Im glad they kept the interaction system from Injustice.😊

quan chi's moves look much better then in MK9 think he is gonna be one of my faves again.

First of all I think Killer Instinct was a bit different. The initial game was free. I think that alone makes up for any Micro transactions. I paid $20 and got the entire first set of characters and maps. Unlocking outfits in game without paying....like Sadira's genie outfit lol.

Anyways I agree. There is nothing wrong with DLC but the game needs to be complete before the DLC is released. As far as the actual DLC is concerned it is a case by case basis. For Instance The Amazing Spider-Man 2(I buy every Spider-Man game that comes out) I beat the game and unlocked every costume except Superior but then they added extra DLC costumes. They were like a dollar a piece(something like that) so I went for it. I mean I felt the amount of extra costumes already in game was good so I didn't mind the extra couple of dollars for Ends of the Earth Spidy was worth it.

Some of the competitive people I know hated that, but eh, I guess it'll be fun for some, myself included for awhile. I forget, but that's something you can turn off if you want to right?

As far as I remember you could turn it off in Injustice.mmm

The first season freeware version of Killer Instinct did not allow you to play on levels you wanted (single level) and you could only play with whatever free character they had activated for that week. Also, not all features in game modes were available in the free version. And as you point out, not all the costumes or variations were available in the free version (minor issue). It was just a beefy "software trial" system that didn't have an end date to the trial. But if you wanted the full game, you could get it. 🙂 $34 was worth it.

IMO, Killer Instinct is the only game to get the micro-transaction system correct. There may be others but none come to mind. $34 really did get you value for your money. The $40 ultra-edition in Season 2 offers you 16 playable characters and all that other stuff. Is the full game, seasons 1 and 2, worth $40? Yup! I'd pay $60 for just all of Season 1 stuff.

This is the most important thing of all. Your game needs to be complete, first, before you release DLC. I'm looking at you, Bungie.

So here's hoping that MKX has some Killer Instinct marketing approach flavor. If they do that shitty microtransaction bullshit, f*ck this game.

The only thing that really bothered me was there was a weekend sale one weekend. it was $19.99 for the ultimate version. It came with everything including the old arcade versions of the game. I was upset that I hadn't waited but meh its really no big deal.

I never tried turning it off but I remember you could skip it.

Yeah, that's no big deal. I miss Steam sales all the time. 🙁

Reptile variations.
The "Flash power"from Injustice seems kinda OP.

Mind your own business. Life is about freedom of choice, tightwad.
