A Lotr character would be an interesting twist, but considering how iconic you need to be in order to matter from a marketing standpoint it'd have to be Legolas.

Too bad NRS didn't want any console exclusive characters. I would have wanted to see Sweet Tooth and/or Jago in this game.

Even if NetherRealm did want console exclusives, Sony would only have someone added for marketing purposes like a Hunter from Bloodborne or Galahad from The Order 1886 I bet. Wouldn't mind the former. I wish Sweet Tooth was an option though.

Only reason Kratos was in MK9 was to promote God of War III.

Yeah... it's a real shame. As far as exclusives go, besides Kratos, I actually can't think of anyone immediately more appropriate than Sweet Tooth.
