Great thread idea Sam. Hello everyone my name is Justin libiszewski. I live in Springfield Massachusetts and will be turning 30 in 2 weeks. I worked in law enforcement for most of my twenties and now detail cars for a living. I love comics, sci-fi (especially star wars), sports (redsox, bruins, Celtics and the 49er's), fishing, video games and working on cars. I'm married and have been with my wife since I was 17. I Don't post much but I'm here almost everyday reading threads and lurking.

Eh that's not really true, the indistinguishable part it really depends on what you count. But regardless the local ones matter more than broad racial definitions, as really most have very little in common outside of a loose still highly variable look. Specific enthic groups and culture form more of someone's identity, which is why you have the fighting in africa and why Japanese and chinese are still somewhat hostile towards each other.
It's just as Americans we like to have easy to classify groups. And some needed to for survival

Hmmm...i dunno, i don't see race. It's indistinguishable, I'm a mutt so i don't identify with a particular race or culture save nerd culture. I do cosplay, i listen to rap, industrial, dubstep, im too random. I have a cat planet cuties poster over my bed and a comic book library in my living room. People have always seen me as weird and strange so i can't really fit in unless it's with like minded people.
I'm not saying you have to Identify as anything. I mean I myself don't get along with most people I know of my race. Before I came here I thought I was the only black guy on the internet.
I'm just saying that you can't really dismiss local culture and ethnic groups as not mattering considering they tend to have more direct impact than larger racial groups, even in the same nation like all the African things mentioned or even in Europe up until very recently and still happening in some areas. Basically I'm saying specific culture matters more than race to most people.

I've always thought about trying cosplay, but tbh, I wouldn't know where to start. Are you serious in to it? Like, going for total accuracy and such? Or do you just go for whatever you can throw together that gives the general idea?

Anyway...I'll not be posting much here, so this shit will fade away eventually, and with that said..
I'm 23, in my final year for the electronics and telecommunications engineering degree and I've been working in software testing for about two years. I like football, tennis, ping-pong and sports in general (hate basketball though), which is not unexpected from a 6'2 athletic dude (though I've been slacking off lately).
Most people would say I'm the most laid back dude they've ever met. I do get stressed out sometimes, it's just very hard compared to most people I've met, as I simply don't take things as seriously (don't confuse that with being careless) as many do.
Not married, no children, in a relationship for ~ 2 years. I don't care if men like men or women like women. I don't care if you believe in any version of an almighty being, as long as it doesn't negatively affect people around you. I believe in my own 'God', and not the one in any book.
I like philosophy and science, mainly. Anything pertaining to those is fine by me, be they come in forms of books, movies, tv-shows, comics etc. I dislike poetry. I smoke [sometimes I quit for months at a time], I drink [it's been a long time since I got drunk, which is surprising for a college student, I guess]. By drunk, of course, I mean shit-face hammered, dragging [or being dragged] yourself to the room.
That's the short gist of it, I guess.
