Could be interesting

I use to read those choose your adventure books.

I used to enjoy the TV Show a lot. And read some of the books. Always worried in anything Jack Black does.

Jack Black...

😬

why the hate towards Jack Black?

mental retardation isn't funny to me.

Fair enough, everyone has their tastes when it comes to comedy.

For what it's worth, i liked him in "Bernie", it was a much more toned down performance from him.

I liked the movie Shallow Hal

My mind is just tuned to the idea of R.L. Stine being an older guy - an example would be Anthony Hopkins as Van Helsing from Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Jack Black seems too young for the part, although we can be certain the role will be overacted.

YouTube video

I know this is the Year of 90's Flashbacks™, but I didn't expect to see a Goosebumps movie.

Probably worth a rental at least.

I'll see it, because it's Goosbumps related, but I'm not expecting a good movie.

Surely it has to be better then the tv show.

Looks pretty weak.

no

Interesting, I still have ALL my goosebump books. I have nearly the entire collection. Plus a bunch of those "fear street" books or whatever. "Don't Ever Get Sick At Grandma's" was highly disturbing to me as a kid.

They've probably seen "Shallow Hal" or "School of Rock" or "Nacho Libre". Or maybe even "Neverending Story 3".

It was nostalgic seeing all those monsters. Brings me back to book fairs back in elementary school.

Anyways, probably won't end up seeing it. Not my demo and I don't have any young ones to take this to

I definitely remember loving the tv show as well as the books. In grammar school every month they'd send out a book "catalog". Not a true catalog as it was only a few pages, but it was of new books coming out students could buy. I always remember every month waiting for the new shipment and the newest Goosebumps. Nice to see it come back.

I remember thinking the theme song to the tv show was cool.
