I never hated Tywin (I admired him) until he was a massive dick to Tyrion for pretty much saving King's Landing and everyone in it. I thought that Tywin, because he was portrayed as a logical, pragmatic, and cold person, would finally give Tyrion something for his loyalty and success. Nope.
