Odin vs MOS

Odin has decided he should rule man. MOS is not having it. Battle take place on earth.

Does anyone on earth survive?

Superman wins. Metropolis suffers less destruction than it did in the Zod fight

No respect for Odin?

Comic Book Odin would WTFstomp any version of Superman, but MCU Odin is relatively featless.

Lack of feats puts this massively in Kal's favor. The only Thor character we can use to try to get an idea about Odin is Thor himself. Odin is implied to be greater than Thor but this doesn't help us much.

Odin has no feats that would compare to Superman. Odin should win, no feats on screen to show it though.

Odin de-powered Thor pretty easily. Plus he enchanted Mjolnir. He's obviously extremely powerful. I would guess considerably more powerful than Kal. But it's just a guess with not much to back it up.

With all the assumptions being made based on Dr. Manhattan implied power in the other threads I thought Odin would get the same.

We actually see Manhattan in action. Odin not so much.

^IIRC, Odin was capable of conjuring interdimensional portals, could manipulate dark energy(though this is based on Loki's testimony), and was capable of destroying large hordes of Frost Giants with his spear.

He was also powerful enough to defeat Malekith, had Thor not disobeyed his orders. I am guessing we'll see the true extent of his powers in the 3rd film when Surtur debuts.

I think people exagerate about Manhattan, but he is in fact very beastly.

Odin just kind of...never gets shit done. I understand why, but it still kind of sucks.

Epicurus me thinks they will find yet another way to write Odin out of combat. Seems to me they don't want Odin showing off at Thor's expense.

We don't see him doing the portal thing or the dark energy thing iirc so we have no idea how long it took or how it was accomplished. The spear thing is pretty good but that's not Odin's power, it's the spears since his father used it as well in the beginning of Dark World. At least I think it was the same spear.

We don't know if he could have defeated him since he was referring to an all out battle between Asgard and the Elves not a one on one fight. Thor even says Agard would lose and leads us to believe Odin was being a stupid dick cuz his wife just died. Honestlt Odin should be uber powerful but we just don't see it
