but that 'clip' didnt talk about gambit 🙁

actually, heres a little snippet from the actual article that talks about Gambit:

Overall, our source confirmed the rest of the AICN report as accurate but emphasized that "Gambit is not a major character." While the ragin' Cajun enjoyed a relationship with Rogue in the comics, it's uncertain whether that will be a part of X3 in any way (or how any potential affair will sit with Rogue's current beau, Bobby "Iceman" Drake).

o0o..yeeh..i thought they'd give gambit a minor roll. build him up for x-4 or sumtin...just like they did with bobby

i hope they center on gambit at least partially in one of the films

no kidding. It'd be awesome if Gambit had a major role in the next X movie. If there is one.

i think the x franchise has the ability to go on to countless sequels, maybe give the supporting characters the spotlight in the future movies and have the main characters get their own spinoffs and gambit had best be in the next movie

look, dude, i love the x-men a lot more than spiderman. but with all thats happend lately i jus keep wondering if there will be enough stability with the stars, the script, and the quality of the movies to keep coninuing with sequels... btw..it says u were born in 1980...yet u seem to act like a teenager.. and ur hobbies are in comics. so how far are u in realizing ur dream of gettin ur own characters published?

Yeah like gls said we should just be happy that they are making a third movie and yes the franchise has the ability to go on with more sequels, but all the actors don't wanna stay in one franchise all their lives. So with three films I think that is ideal and maybe if they have like passing of the torch to the younger characters yeah it will continue, but for now I'm glad there will be a third movie.

So what does this mean? Is Austin the epicenter of the next X picture? I can think of two big directors who call Austin home base - Richard Linklater, who has shown with School of Rock and the upcoming Bad News Bears that he isn't exclusively indie, and Robert Rodriguez, whose comic book movie Sin City is coming really, really soon.

Of course, it does saying that travel MAY be required. But if this is a nationwide extras call - why don't the New York or LA Craigslist have it? Perhaps a southwestern flavor is in store for us on the next film...

If you see more X-Men 3 casting calls in your area, let us know!

Nothing is certain on how many movies will be made of the franchise so I wouldn't take it to heart.

never gonna happen... you could make bond on a small budget, not the same with x-men...

excuse me, but who says all X films need huge budgets? budgets are getting more costly anyhow, but what i'm sayin is that the films could take a slight change to focus on fewer characters each film. like say...focus only on gambit and rogue with a few villians or something similar. Like the spinoffs of wolverine and magneto.
BTW bond budgets lately aren't very cheap either. who knows how much the revamped Casino Royale movie is gonna cost.

spin offs would still need effects shots... they'd still be expensive... and then they're not x-men movies, they're spin offs...

and bond if it needed to could be made on a small budget... yes royale will be expensive...but bond has been going for years on screen, x-men hasnt... bond will always (for the forseeable future) have funding...

if x-3 flops itll be years before we see another one...

exactly! it will be years before we see another one..
the franchise will still continue. bond had his days of slump. Goldeneye was the bond film that refreshed the series for the 90's.
even if X3 flops the franchise will continue someday.
comic films flopped for years after the Batman series. then Blade came out. and it was decent. then X-men. spider-man..so on. there's always flops (~cough~ Hulk, ~cough~ elektra ~COUGH~ CATWOMAN) but i think X-men is jus too big of a pop culture presence that it wont ever die.

daredevil was worse than hulk...

i agree in twenty years or so we'll see more x-movies... but i never liked the idea of spinoffs, unless its maybe the professor or magneto...

yea sry forgot about Daredevil... (guess my mind blocked that out lol)
but i thought Kingpin was well done on that movie...

i never really liked the idea of spinoffs either but then again i didn't like the idea of Deathstrike not bein a cyborg so..eh we'll see.

imo the only spin offs that would work are:

magneto, the professor, wolverine (obviously), and cyclops and jean (but it would either sinister or cable and apocalypse in it (then it becomes an x-men movie)...)

i think a gambit movie could work.
a cable movie could work...well no maybe not cause then you'd need to introduce apocalypse...and bishop..same thing...
Storm could work. (maybe)
Rogue (i donno...)
Mystique possibly..not sure how though 😛
imo i dont really want a movie on wolverine (other then the first two x films)..but the fans want it so bleh. as long as gambit is a freakin movie i'll be pleased
