'X-Men 3' has another villain in Melancon
Thursday December 29 11:35 PM ET
The evil mutant assassin Psylocke has joined the lineup of "X-Men 3," the latest installment of the Marvel superhero franchise.
The character will be played by Filipina actress Mei Melancon, who previously worked with "X-Men 3" director Brett Ratner in "Rush Hour 2."
Word began leaking last week from the Vancouver set that "X-Men 3" would introduce Psylocke, who has had several incarnations in the Marvel comic book series and is best known for her fighting and telepathic skills as well as an ability to transport herself and others through shadows. In the film, she will fight against the X-Men as a member of Magneto's (Ian McKellen) Brotherhood of Mutants.
"X-Men 3" is set to bow May 26, on Memorial Day weekend, via Twentieth Century Fox.

says the same thing.
But she hasn't been in the trailer... shock They're holding out on us! 🙁 or 🙂 suprises can be nice. (but we're comic book fans, we usually don't take too kindly to 'em) 😛
So she's a Brotherhood member. I'm guessing she's gonna fight Wolvie at some point in the movie. If they keep her martial artsy, which they probly will. Would be fun if she's like some special Brotherhood agent assasin who goes in to take out enemies. She is after all a telepathic ninja assasin. 🙂
Why is the Brotherhood completely outnumbering the X-Men?
X-Men:
Wolverine, Iceman, Storm, Shadowcat, Beast, Colossus, possible Xavier, possible Cyclops, possible Jubilee
Brotherhood:
Magneto, Mystique, Stacy X, Phoenix, Juggernaut, Callisto, Pyro, Psylocke, Multiple Man, I heard somewhere that Omega Red is supposed to be in there but idk for sure, Cannonball, plus the rest of that huge army that we saw.
Bit of an uneven matchup I'd say.

Hmm... The bad guys might not be there for so long, they could basically be extended cameos that gets whupped pretty quick.
But I agree, Multiple Man himself outnumberes the good guys. Maybe they've got reinforcements (the army maybe) or maybe they're just gonna be that hardcore. 😮💨
Also the bad guys could come in waves, so there's not that many at a time.
I'm nearly positive that Cannonball is confirmed, I think he's one of the ones that they break out. Omega Red, yeah I don't know for sure if he's confirmed or if he's technically in the Brotherhood in the film if he is, but I heard some stuff about him so I just assumed. But even without him, they still are outnumbered insanely. Phoenix and Magneto are powerful enough to wipe them out, let alone with Multiple Man and Juggernaut, and then you've got Pyro and blah blah blah blah blah. This is especially true when you look at the people on the X-Men list...
Shadowcat is essentially useless, Jubilee has retarded powers that wouldn't be able to hurt anyone on that Brotherhood list really, Beast isn't insanely strong or durable so he's not a big factor, Rogue has no powers yet she just complains, Nightcrawler isn't gonna be in the film, Cyclops might not be in the fight, Xavier might not be in the fight...
We're left with Iceman, Wolverine, Storm, and Colossus against all of them. Colossus no doubt will be against Juggernaut for most of the action because they'd be two powerhouses, they'll just depower Juggernaut to match up with him. Iceman against Pyro. Now what. Wolverine and Storm versus Magneto, Mystique, Callisto, Cannonball, Phoenix, etc etc etc?? C'mon. I'm a Wolverine fan but he's not lasting that fight, lol. Angel might be fighting with them, idk, but is the ability to fly really going to help you when Jean decides to rip you apart with her telepathy?
I think the X men will have extra help on their team.We probably just don't know about it.I think that even though X3 seems to have more action ,I don't think most of it will revolve around X men fighting the Brotherhood.I'm sure their will be some fighting between the two but I also think they'll be other obstacles in their way.

I really hope they don't have Sentinels helping out the X-Men. That'd just be wrong.

And here's a little something from Patrick Stewart on the film:
"Patrick Stewart on X-Men 3
Source: TrekWeb.com December 30, 2005
TrekWeb.com says UK's DreamWatch magazine has a new interview with Patrick Stewart in which he talks about X-Men 3. Here's a clip:
"The script, I believe, is the best script of the three." he said "It's very intense, it's very emotional, it's very personal about the individuals that we've already got to know in the first two movies. It has some astonishing set-piece sequences. It has a number of quite significant deaths. [From] what I've seen so far, I think, it's likely to be extraordinary. Some absolutely outstanding work is happening in Vancouver - including from some of the new people who've come onboard ranging from Kelsey Grammer to Vinnie Jones, who are now part of the X-MEN family, If anyone saw Brett's RED DRAGON, which I thought was an outstanding film, I don't think they have any reason to be nervous."
Check out more of the interview at the link above."
